Yaplog (“we”, “us”) is an order-capture app for in-person sellers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how to get rid of it. Plain English wherever we can — get in touch if anything is unclear.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, used to sign you in via one-time code. We never store a password.
- Organization. The name of your business, the seller profiles you set up, and the payment methods you accept. Other members you invite see this; people outside your organization do not.
- Orders you record. The audio clip of the order, the transcript, the parsed line items, totals, and the recording timestamp. Audio and transcripts stay attached to the order so you can review and correct it.
- Device and diagnostic data. If the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a stack trace, the version you’re running, and the basic device class (e.g. iOS 18, iPhone 15). No contact info is attached.
How we use it
- Sign you in and keep you signed in.
- Transcribe your recorded order, parse it into line items, and save the result against your organization.
- Show your sales history, totals, and exports to your team.
- Find and fix bugs in the app.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your audio or transcripts to train models, and we do not let our processors use them for training either.
Where it lives
Yaplog runs on
Cloudflare.
Database rows live in Cloudflare D1; audio recordings live in Cloudflare
R2. Both are pinned to Cloudflare's Western North America region — your
data stays in the United States. The mobile app talks to
api.yaplog.app, which runs as a Cloudflare Worker on
Cloudflare's global network.
Who else touches it
We use a small set of third parties to make the app work:
- OpenAI — your order audio is sent to OpenAI’s Whisper and chat models to produce the transcript and structured line items.
- Resend — delivers your one-time sign-in codes by email.
- Sentry — receives crash reports and error traces from the mobile app and the API server.
How long we keep it
- Orders and audio. Kept as long as your organization is active, so your team can review or export them.
- Sign-in codes. Single-use; expire shortly after they are issued.
- Sessions. Stay valid until you sign out or the session expires.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your data, or have it deleted, by emailing support@yaplog.app. Step-by-step instructions for deletion are on the Delete account page.
Children
Yaplog is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Yaplog after a change means you accept the new terms.
